The Story Behind OKEONI
OKEONI was not created in a laboratory. It was created in the treatment room.
For more than 30 years I have worked as a therapist, educator and business owner within the professional beauty industry.
I have treated thousands of skins, trained therapists on advanced technologies and spent decades observing how skin responds to products, ingredients and treatment philosophies.
Over that time I witnessed a significant shift within our industry. Products became increasingly complicated. Ingredient lists became longer. Treatments became more aggressive. Marketing became louder.
Yet despite all the innovation, I found myself seeing more compromised skin than ever before.
The truth about skincare
Working extensively with laser and light-based technologies provided a unique perspective.
I was able to observe skin behaviour closely before, during and after treatment.
What concerned me was that inflammation was often being interpreted as progress.
Many clients believed their skin was improving because it appeared stimulated, while underneath I
was seeing impaired barriers, heightened sensitivity and skin that seemed less resilient than it should have been.
At the same time, I was exploring a different path through pure botanical ingredients and formulations built around simplicity rather than complexity.

That experience changed the direction of my career and became the foundation upon which OKEONI was built.
